Don't take installation for granted!
A quality installation is critical to both safety and appearance.

Professional Pool Installation from Protect-A-Child Pool Fence CompanyToo often parents focus exclusively on a particular fence feature or the price of the fence and fail to consider the importance of the person installing it. In reality, a quality installation is as critical to the safety provided by the fence as the fence itself.

And when it comes to appearance and preservation of your patio, a quality installation is absolutely vital. At Protect-A-Child we are constantly amazed at the number of competing fences we see with crooked posts and sagging mesh. Such installations can ruin the look of your beautiful pool, patio and backyard.  Mesh pool fence installations should be performed by trained individuals who are as serious about the appearance of the fence and how it will function on your patio as the safety it provides.

Protect-A-Child distributors receive training on proper fence installation techniques.  This training comes from over 26 years experience installing mesh pool fencing.  So you can be assured of a quality installation.   Please look through our photo gallery and gain an appreciation for how mesh pool fences should look when installed correctly. We take pride in a quality installation and how attractive our fence looks when installed correctly. You should too.

THE BASICS:

  • Installation requires drilling a pattern of small, 1 1/4" (32mm) holes in the patio at 3' (91.44cm) intervals.
  • We use diamond core drilling equipment for clean, precise drilling of your patio surface.
  • Once drilled, a polyvinyl sleeve is countersunk into each hole.
  • The fence posts then fit tightly into these sleeves.
  • Once installed and the sections latched...the result is a tight, strong, mesh barrier between your child and the pool.

THE SPECIFICS:

YOUR POOL FENCE INSTALLATION
– WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT-

By choosing Protect-A-Child to install your mesh pool fence you have made a wise decision.  Our distributors are trained how to properly install our pool fence to assure your fence is installed with straight posts and taut mesh for an attractive pool fence that will accentuate your pools shape and appearance.

The pool fence installation process is as follows:

PLANNING:

Before any work begins our distributor will want to discuss your final thoughts on precisely where you wish the fence to be located on your patio.  Considerations include:

  1. How far from the edge of the pool on each side you wish to place the fence.
  2. Where you want fence openings and whether manual or self closing gates.  (ie swim outs, deep end ladders or diving boards, etc.)
  3. Design contours of the fence.  (ie whether to follow the shape of the pool or contour it in such a way to maximize certain patio areas)

 LAYOUT:

Once your design wishes are established our distributor will measure and mark each fence post location on your patio to assure precision.

DRILLING:

Now that the fence post locations are marked, we will core drill exactly on those marks.  Don’t be concerned!  We use a stand mounted, wet drilling core drill to drill precise holes in the cement.  These core drills use a hollow, diamond tipped core bit that drills the hole.  We do not use rotary hammers that could break your patio.  (Prior to contracting with anyone to install your pool fence, make certain they do not bring a hammer drill).  As the drill bit cuts  the sediment is flushed from the bit for the cleanest cut possible.  It will produce a white or gray liquid sediment of what would normally be concrete dust in a dry drilling process.  This sediment is completely washed from your patio.

SLEEVES:

Once the holes are drilled, our polyvinyl sleeves are inserted into the holes.  These sleeves are designed to provide an exact fit of the fence post into the holes.

 FENCE INSERTION:

Now that the sleeves are in we will set the fence sections into the patio holes.  You will notice the fence looks a little loose at this stage.  Don’t worry!  After all of the pool fence sections are in we will add the point lock section latches to each pool fence section and latch the sections together.  This will add the tension that will pull the mesh taut and provide the beautifully straight and taut appearance Protect-A-Child Pool Fence is famous for.

 GATE INSTALLATION:

Last we will install the self closing gate and make any custom sections necessary.  This will complete the pool fence installation.  We will inspect all sections to make sure everything is working properly.

 YOUR SATISFACTION:

Once the pool fence is completed we will want to show you how the pool fence operates and teach you how to open, close, remove and reinstall it.

YOUR FENCE INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE!  YOU WILL ENJOY THE SAFETY AND PEACE OF MIND KNOWING THAT YOUR CHILD IS PROTECTED SHOULD THEY EVER SNEAK OUT THE BACK DOOR OR SLIP AWAY FROM SUPERVISION UNNOTICED.
